The 1st International Conference on Women Development in Engineering, Science and Technology (WD-EST’23) on 3-5 October 2023 is a joint venture of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).This initiative aims to foster the women development in engineering, science and technology for their successful contribution in the societal development. WD-EST’23 is inclusive of people of all genders to build a bigger network globally. Taking opportunity of this platform, a series of workshop will be hosted on necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to enhance their professional development, leadership capabilities, and technical expertise in engineering, science, and technology towards SDG 5 and 9.

We are delighted to announce the 1st International Conference on Women Development in Engineering, Science and Technology (WD-EST’23) to be held on 3-5 October 20223 at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, which is joint venture of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro.
This conference will provide opportunity and encourage women for participating as Engineers, scientist, student, scholars, consultant industrialist and practitioner to share their experience and research. Apart from the technical sessions, Inspirational sessions on thought provoking topics are planned. Panel discussion on emerging trends and best practice led by top women leaders along with success stories of Women in Science and Engineering will be shared. It will also provide opportunity for early career professionals and aspiring leaders to nurture growth, networking and career development. Since the world is changing, people everywhere around the globe are continuously striving to shape the future in sustainable way. Therefore, we come across emerging ideas and solutions at every moment of the life. WD-EST’23 is also programmed to accelerate progress towards achieving sustainable development goals i.e., “5. Gender Equality and 9. Industry, Innovation and Infrastrucure”.
